Terms of Use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Who provides Sim Recipes
Sim Recipes is an independent app for Mac and iPhone and this website, simrecipes.com, made by one developer. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fujifilm. These terms apply when you share a recipe from the app. Reading recipes and using the app on your own device does not require you to accept anything beyond the App Store terms.
What you may share
Sharing a recipe publishes a scaled preview photo, the camera settings read from the file, and an optional title and display name (see the privacy policy for exactly what is stored). You may only share:
- photos you took yourself, or have the right to share;
- camera settings and recipes that you are free to publish;
- a title and display name that follow the rules below.
You keep the rights to your photos. By sharing a recipe you give Sim Recipes permission to show it, with its photo, settings, title and display name, in the app and on this website for as long as it is published.
What is not allowed
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Do not share:
- content that is illegal, or that sexualises or exploits anyone, in particular minors;
- sexual or pornographic content, nudity meant to shock or arouse, and graphic violence;
- hate speech, or content that attacks people for who they are, such as their race, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability;
- harassment, threats or intimidation of any person;
- spam, advertising, links or contact details of other services, and misleading or fake recipes;
- other people's photos or work without their permission;
- photos of identifiable people taken or shared without their consent.
Titles and display names are checked against a list of forbidden words before they are published. A title or name that contains one is refused. The check is only a first filter: content that gets through is still covered by these rules.
Reporting and blocking
- Report. In the app, open a recipe from someone else and choose Report Recipe…, pick a reason and optionally add a message. On the website use the Report button on the recipe page. You do not need an account to report.
- Block. In the app, choose Block Maker… on a recipe. You will no longer see recipes from that maker in Browse, Featured and the map, and Sim Recipes is notified. The list of blocked makers and hidden recipes is kept on your devices and synced through your own iCloud. You can undo it under Settings → Blocked.
- Our response. We look at every report within 24 hours. A recipe that breaks these terms is removed. An account that shares such content, or that keeps breaking these terms, can be blocked from sharing and liking recipes. Recipes already shared by a blocked account stay up unless they are removed after a report. A blocked account can still sign in, delete its own recipes and delete the account itself.
Your account and your recipes
You can delete a recipe you shared at any time under My Uploads. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Sim Recipes account → Delete Account…; that also removes the recipes you shared. The privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
Changes and the App Store
You accept these terms once per account, the first time you share a recipe. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version. The apps are distributed through the App Store, so Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.
